Event photography:

Event PhotographyFrom birthday parties to public events we can provide a photographer who will capture the moments you want to keep in a professional and discrete manner. We have experience of a wide variety of venues and shooting conditions and are happy to work with you to achieve the photographic style most suited to the event and your needs.

It is important to us that the event being captured does not turn into a photo shoot completely ruled by the photographer. It is quite a common mistake for a photographer to be so focused on achieving the shots he or she has in mind that the photography becomes quite invasive. Our philosophy is that the best pictures can come from a more candid style with moments captured as the occur from a distance. The photographs that result from this method are far more natural, and avoid unnecessary interferance.

Our photographers do not demand exclusive rights to the pictures taken on the day, and encourage others to take as many pictures as they want. Not everyone will want to wait for the official photographs to be produced, and this is completely understood by us. There may be situations such as wedding ceremonies where the venue will impose restrictions on photographs being taken, and for some shots it may be necessary for the initial pictures to be taken by the photographer without the distraction of other cameras being used, but there will always be time given for a free-for-all once these have been obtained.

Once an event has been captured, the images will be fully post-processed and colour corrected before being returned to the client. The shots will be produced in two folders; one for the final proofs and one for the complete catelogue of pictures taken. You will be free to use or modify any of the photographs supplied in any way. We will ask for your permission to use some shots for addition to our portfolio or for promotional reasons (such as advertising or on our website) but this is not a requirement.
